Psycho Hold is extreme hold — for styles that absolutely cannot move. Pompadours, hard parts, all-day styles. If Classic isn’t cutting it, Psycho Hold will.

The main difference is finish. Classic Pomade and Psycho Hold give a high-shine finish — that slicked, polished barbershop look. Maximum Matte Clay gives the same serious hold with a matte, natural-looking finish. If you want shine, reach for the classic. If you want to look like you didn’t try, reach for the clay.

Thick, wavy, or coarse hair: Classic Pomade or Psycho Hold. Want zero shine: Maximum Matte Clay. Thin hair: Matte Clay — Psycho Hold’s too much for thin hair, don’t fight it. Beard: Beard Balm. Shaving: Shave Soap. Still not sure? Classic Pomade is the safe bet for most guys.

1. Start with completely dry hair for maximum hold. 2. Scoop a dime-sized amount. 3. Rub between both palms until warm and soft. 4. Work evenly through hair from roots to tips. 5. Comb and style. Add a little water to restyle mid-day. That’s it — no fifteen-step routine required.

For maximum hold, apply to dry hair. Slightly damp hair gives easier distribution and a softer hold. For slick structured styles that need to last all day, go dry every time.
